Finding Crow & Wolf Brewery was not a problem; just followed one of the many classic cars headed to the Hot Rod Coalition's Old Town Motorama kick-off party held at Crow & Wolf Brewery in Clovis Friday evening. Crow & Wolf Brewery is a neighborhood craft brewery with, friendly atmosphere; it's a great place to hang out and enjoy some craft brews.

The Friday evening get-together was great; there were lots of cool classics at the event, like Cody's Model A Roadster. Cody's Roadster was in the latest issue of Speed and Kulture Magazine. The "Corbin's Model A Roadster" is a favorite of many, including myself. In addition, there was a fantastic custom '52 Chevy truck with a unique look. The Chevy truck had Buick headlights, Chevy Impala Dash that looked like it should have been in this truck from the factory. There were many other fantastic rides at the event, like Shane's '55 Chevy that he just built that got its first test drive a couple of weeks ago.

Classic cars were parked inside the brewery's warehouse, outside filling up the parking lot and lining the streets near the brewery. But, it was not only the classic cars and their owners, many others just came out to have a good time. It was a blast.

As the sun started rising in the early hours of Saturday morning, so did the owners of these gorgeous classic rides. Pollasky Ave was filling up fast; booths were getting set up, the sounds of the cars echoed off the buildings. You just knew it was going to be a great day.

When Hot Rod Coalition has an event, they always get a tremendous turnout. Old Town Motorama was no exception. The participants showed their classic cars and the spectators that came out to see these incredible rides. Hot Rod Coalition brought the masses to Old Town Clovis as with other events they sponsor like Rods On The Bluff. It's not the first time Hot Rod Coalition rocked Clovis. Last year they had an excellent turnout for Draggin' Old Town. That event had a killer turnout, and it was a blast to attend. Hot Rod Coalition handed out 50 awards to the participants, with the best-of-show prize hand-painted by Julio's Kustom Studio in Fresno.

The spirits were high at this Old Town Motorama Saturday event everyone was having a great time. Booths along Pollasky and some of the side streets were selling crafts and handmade signs, T-shirts, and other cool stuff. The vendors were buzzing with attendees. There were also many places to eat as well. There were food trucks and local restaurants; 559 BEER, the first microbrewery located in Clovis, had a live band playing outside. 599 BEER is a great place to grab a bite and a brew.

They call Clovis "the gateway to the Sierras" the shops along Pollasky have a small-hometown feel. Some shops had items in front of their stores that reminded me of Old Town Sacramento.

Downtown Clovis is immaculate, and the people are welcoming. It's a great place to hang out, have lunch or diner, and visit some of the shops downtown. It's a perfect stop while headed to the Sierras, no wonder that Hot Rod Coalition has events in downtown Clovis. I'm sure this event was a well-needed boost to the businesses in the area.

Sunday day 3 of the Old Town Motorama event was shop tours with what they called was rockstar access and that it was. If you haven't been on one of the shop tour events, it's a must-go, you will have a great time.. The owners of these shops are so welcoming. It's a great way to see what projects they are working on, and it's also a great way to discover businesses that you may not have known about and get to know them.

The car show participants first met up at Charlie's Auto Care Center. Along with the standard auto repairs, mufflers, etc. Charlie's will build, repair and mod your classic car. After the meet-up at Charlie's, three other shops opened their doors for the poker run participants. The tours are always a blast. After the shop tours, we headed over to O'Reilly's for a BBQ and a raffle in their parking lot. O'Reilly's provided the raffle prizes. It was a great end to the three-day event..
