TOUR D'ELEGANCE DURING MONTEREY CAR WEEK

One of the best deals of the Monterey Car Week as Tour d’Elegance is free to watch these historic million dollar plus cars tour the beautiful Monterey back woods and along the gorgeous California Coast prior to the Concourse d’Elegance event at Pebble Beach. Just find a spot anywhere along the 60 mile route and watch the rolling museum as these historic cars rolling by like a model at a runway fashion show.

THE CARS GO ON THE TOUR TO TEST THEIR RELIABILITY "DRIVABILITY"

Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance started in the 50's along with the Pebble Beach Road Race that was later moved to Laguna Seca. The Tour d'Elegance got it's start in 1998, most if not all of the cars participate in the tour are original museum quality cars, some that you may of never seen before like a 1923 Steyr or 1910 Thomas Flyer and some you may have, like the 1956 Ferrari, you will also see Bentley's, Bugatti's, and Fiat's to name a few.

A lot if not most of the cars that participate at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance also participate in the Tour d'Elegance for all to see and appreciate.

MIGHT JUST SEE A HOT ROD ON THE TOUR

For those of us that also like the more "modern" hot rods there were a couple of Ford Roadsters in the mix of cool cars. Hot rods were first on the seen at Pebble Beach Concours in 1998.

This is a remarkable and must see event even if you are not in to these types of cars, as the history and elegance of these cars will sure delight most everyone and it's free to see.

Not sure that you will see this many historic luxury and sport cars like this all together unless you go to the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. It's more fun to see them driving than parked on a lawn
